Poisons, household or otherwise can cause your pet serious harm. If you think your pet has ingested a poison of any kind, please call:

ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center
(888) 4ANIHELP (426-4435)

The ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. There is a $65.00 charge per case with your credit card (Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American Express). The Center will do as many follow-up calls as necessary in critical cases, and at the owner’s request will contact their veterinarian. The Center also provides via fax specific treatment protocols and current literature citations when indicated. Have the poison label information ready and approximate the amount ingested. Cases of this nature need immediate attention. Make sure that you also contact your veterinarian.

If you do not have a credit card, call 1-900 443-0000 and the $65.00 charge will be billed directly to the caller’s telephone. Follow-up phone calls can be made at 1-888-299-2973 for no extra charge. There is no charge when the call involves a product covered by the Animal Product Safety Service.

For a complete list of current information, please visit www.aspca.org.

If you are not willing or able to pay for this phone call and you are concerned about a pesticide product or poisoning, you can call the National Pesticide Telecommunications Network (NPTN).
